In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Day, Inspire’s Black Voices business resource group (BRG) welcomed renowned media executive and Inspire board member Wonya Lucas to our Atlanta Global Support Center for an MLK Day Breakfast focused on building community and belonging in the workplace. Following the event, team members volunteered together at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, engaging with our local community in remembrance of Dr. King’s life and legacy.

Buffalo Wild Wings Sports Bar Brand President and Black Voices Executive Sponsor Tristan Meline kicked off the breakfast. “Everything we do at Inspire directly supports the 650,000 team members who bring a diverse set of perspectives to our restaurants and support centers. That’s why I’m so honored to be a part of this BRG – year after year, Black Voices delivers exceptional experiences to our team members that foster belonging, community, and giving back.”
An Atlanta and media industry legend, Wonya broke barriers and transformed billion-dollar brands to appeal to new generations. As keynote speaker, she shared insights on leadership, mentorship, and building inclusive spaces. “Building community and uniting people isn’t theoretical – it happens every single day. On the front-line serving guests, by franchise owners embedded in neighborhoods, and through support center teams shaping brands that touch millions of lives: each of us play a vital role in connecting culture, community, and commerce in meaningful ways,” says Wonya Lucas.
Following her presentation, Wonya was joined by Inspire Co-Founder and CEO Paul Brown for a fireside chat on topics that ranged from the lessons Wonya learned from her uncle, celebrated baseball giant Hank Aaron, to the importance of listening to and learning from everyone in the room. “I always say the perceived tiniest voice in the room can have the best idea – because I have seen it happen more than once.”
The following day, Inspire team members volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank to sort 17,656 pounds of food donations, creating 14,758 meals to be delivered to those facing food insecurity. The Atlanta Community Food Bank, a nonprofit partner of Inspire’s brand foundations, is on a mission to end hunger and distributed nearly 112 million meals in 2025.
Black Voices is one of seven Inspire BRGs, serving our team members of all backgrounds by creating a positive work environment where everyone can succeed. Interested in a career at Inspire and our brands? Visit Inspire’s Careers Website and follow us on LinkedIn.
