In remembrance of America’s fallen, captured and missing-in-action servicemen and women, a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Fishers, Indiana, arranged a missing man table for Memorial Day weekend.
The missing man table, a military tradition, is a set for six, with each empty chair representing Americans from each branch – Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard – and civilians who were or are missing.
The table bears important symbols, including a white tablecloth that represents the purity of servicemen and women’s motives, as well as a lighted candle that reflects hope for their return.
