Rose Maullon is an Area Manager who oversees five New Jersey Dunkin’ locations, owned and operated by Inspire franchisee NATC Donuts. She is celebrating 20 years with the company since she joined as a restaurant team member in 2005 – a job she jokes was such a good fit, she never left.  

“My early experience at Dunkin’ really helped shape my career goals. I realized I had everything I needed to build a career right here,” she says, remembering her initial role as a restaurant team member where she quickly developed a passion for customer service. She found opportunities to expand her skillset at NATC’s Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins multi-brand locations to better understand the business. “I learned so much – teamwork, the ability to adapt, and the importance of self-development for long-term success.” 

After a few years, Rose was promoted to Restaurant Manager. “That position came with more challenges, but it taught me a lot. From balancing schedules to team member training, I was constantly problem-solving the best path forward to support my team.”

While Rose grew as a people leader, she also drove the operational success of her restaurant. “I didn’t know it at the time, but I was obtaining the leadership skills I’d need to successfully oversee several locations.” It wasn’t long before NATC promoted her to Area Manager to oversee five Dunkin’ restaurants. Rose dove right in. 

Rose was thrilled when Dunkin’ selected one of her locations to be a Certified Training Restaurant. “It means you’re a Dunkin’ that meets every expectation of operations,” explains Rose. “You’re a trusted environment and team that can competently train new managers – and even new franchisees – so they can experience what it takes to operate a Dunkin’ successfully.”  

After 20 years, Rose says she’s not planning to hang up her Dunkin’ apron anytime soon. “I stay for the people. My team and I have grown so close over the years and become a big part of each other’s lives.  I’m so proud of the friendships we’ve built.”
