As Inspire’s 2024 Intern Program enters its final weeks, we are proud to celebrate an innovative, diverse, and enthusiastic class of 72 students traveling from 20 states and 40 different schools. In addition to educational seminars, networking events, and culinary tastings, our interns teamed up across departments to tackle industry-specific business challenges, receiving guidance and feedback from our company leaders along the way. As they approach the final weeks of the program, Inspire’s Interns reflect on their summer so far:

As a returning intern who made the jump from Operations to Learning Technology, a larger part of Abbey Moberg’s is learning how Inspire’s support centers directly support our restaurants. “It’s eye-opening to shadow the people who interact with our restaurant team members daily,” says Abbey Moberg, a student from the University of Kentucky. “My favorite experience this summer has been actually visiting some of the restaurants.”

To provide students with an inside-look at restaurant operations, Atlanta-based interns embarked on a tour across Atlanta to Inspire’s Alliance Kitchen and Innovation Center. For James Peterson, a student from Georgia Tech, the tour was the highlight of his Operations Innovation internship. “It was so cool to see places that exhibit the pioneering spirit of Inspire. The Alliance Kitchen helped me understand how these very different brands can truly work together under one roof, and the Innovation Center is like a look into the future of Inspire and the technology that will propel our brands down the road.”

Beyond the restaurant, networking opportunities allow young professionals to connect with leaders across every department and brand. For Ximena Hernandez, an intern on the Legal team, a Q&A lunch with Inspire CEO Paul Brown stands out. “I feel like it can be very intimidating trying to approach executives, but it was such a cool opportunity to have an hour to chat with Paul and listen to all the valuable insights he had to share.”
