October is Pride Month in Atlanta, Georgia, observed alongside National Coming Out Day in a multi-day, mid-month celebration that kicks off with Atlanta Pride’s Festival, Marketplace, and Parade – the largest free pride event in the nation.

As a 2024 Gold Sponsor, volunteers from Inspire’s LGBTQ+ business resource group, Inspire Pride, spent the weekend demonstrating our commitment to community: serving food for Atlanta Pride’s hundreds of volunteers, sharing Inspire’s culture and career opportunities with the more than 300,000 festival attendees.

“It’s been a joy to see so many Inspire team member volunteers come together across our various departments and brands to engage with our larger Atlanta community,” says Inspire Pride Executive Sponsor and Jimmy John’s Chief Brand Marketing Officer Darin Dugan. “We strive to be a company that embraces diversity and belonging, and this weekend is really a culmination of those efforts.”

Inspire Pride brings together team members of all backgrounds year-round to engage in community discussion, foster relationship building across the business, and volunteer with local non-profits.

“When I was offered a role at Inspire in 2022, an established Pride BRG was one of the things I looked for,” says Inspire Pride Co-Lead and Marketing & IP Counsel Kathryn Rand. “Seeing an active BRG let me know I could continue showing up as my best self in my career. Today, I’ve built so many relationships across our support centers and restaurants thanks to Inspire Pride.”
