Nancy Franker is an Arby’s team member at restaurant #7115 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She’s lived there all her life and remembers when Arby’s first came to her town.

“I retired a year before they built the Arby’s at Edgewood and Madison,” says Nancy. “After it was built, someone I knew called and said they were looking for someone to work through lunch. I went in for an interview, and here I am 21 years later!”

For Josh Johnson, Arby’s Regional Director of Operations, Nancy has been nothing short of an inspiration. “Nancy is one of our longest tenured team members,” says Josh. “She joined us when she turned 70 and has had the front counter and dining room on lockdown ever since.”

In addition to Nancy’s impressive tenure with the brand, she also marked another incredible milestone last December: her 93rd birthday. To celebrate her, the Arby’s team at her restaurant invited coworkers, friends, and regulars to join a surprise party honoring Nancy’s positive attitude and dedication.

“My coworker Amber made me a beautiful cake with daisies and matching cupcakes,” says Nancy. “I was also surprised with so many gifts and flowers from my coworkers and regulars. I couldn’t believe it!”

For Nancy, the best part of the job continues to be the people she works with and the regulars who stop by. “My favorite moments have been with the wonderful guests who come in and talk with me,” says Nancy. “I’m also blessed with a great boss and coworkers who are always so kind to me.”
