Here’s a look back at Arby’s most viral social media campaign ever
When Arby’s first teased “something small is coming” this fall across billboards and social media, Arby’s Partners Cedric The Entertainer, Robby Berger, Sophie Cunningham, and Trisha Paytas almost couldn’t keep quiet (almost). It wasn’t long before the brand revealed the “small” news: Steak Nuggets, Arby’s new tender, juicy, hand-cut bite-sized pieces of steak seasoned with garlic and pepper for a bold, smoky flavor.
But that was only the beginning. Since launch, Steak Nuggets have been featured everywhere, from the screen to the stage to the racetrack, generating buzz as millions of Americans tried the viral menu item. Curious how something so small could become so… big? Here are all the ways this limited-time menu item made a lasting impression.
Taking the Stage in Las Vegas

Steak Nuggets went loud and proud with a show-stopping debut at Alex Cooper’s Unwell Expo in Las Vegas. From Trisha Paytas’ bejeweled Arby’s bag and tumbler, Rob Rausch’s “Meat” and Greet, and Kaylor Martin’s custom meat suit, fans were sampling Steak Nuggets all weekend long.
Arby’s then jumped in the fast lane at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, offering guests a chance to “steak” their claim at the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race with samples. On the track, No. 51 Arby’s Ford Mustang driver Cody Ware ran laps at nearly 190 mph in his red-and-white Arby’s Steak Nuggets racecar.
Scream’s Halloween Obsession
Steak Nuggets couldn’t let the spooky season pass without its very own scary movie cameo. Enter David Arquette, lover of Arby’s and actor behind beloved Deputy Dewey Riley from Scream (1996).
David revives a beloved character for a frightening food run in an Arby’s parking lot, complete with jump scares and – of course – Steak Nuggets. But, as David puts it, “No tricks this Halloween. Just the meats!”
A Tailgate Touchdown

With all the flavor of a steak paired with the all on-the-go convenience of a nugget, it’s clear that Steak Nuggets are the perfect pre-game food. Sophie Cunningham – Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) shooting guard for the Indiana Fever – hosted a Steak Nuggets food sampling event for Good Morning America while discussing her viral “Hot Girls Eat Arby’s” shirt.
Over at CBS Sports, The Gridiron Chronicles introduced Steak Nuggets as “history in the making.”
