Through a unique partnership with the World Armwrestling League (WAL), Buffalo Wild Wings is now the presenting sponsor and exclusive host for the 2019 “Open Series.” The four free and open to the public events will take place every Sunday from July 14-August 4, 2019, at select sports bars.
“Buffalo Wild Wings is the place to go for live sports, whether it’s on our TVs or literally happening in our bar,” said Luke DeRouen, Vice President of Brand Experience and Activation for Buffalo Wild Wings. “We look forward to welcoming armwrestling competitors and fans to THE Great American Sports Bar.”
The Open Series events will provide guests an opportunity to learn about the sport of armwrestling through youth, novice, amateur and pro classes for both men and women. Additionally, those looking to compete can participate in the “King of the Table” Championship for the chance to progress to the WAL’s elite “Supermatch Showdown Series” next season.
“Armwrestling has seen tremendous growth in the past few years and we’re extremely fortunate to partner with Buffalo Wild Wings. As a staple in American sports culture, they are synonymous with quality entertainment,” said Steve Kaplan, WAL President and Commissioner. “We’re thrilled to provide our large, loyal and passionate community a home base during the ‘Open Series’ where they can compete and watch all of the action while enjoying great food and beverage.”
