Coronavirus Relief: SONIC Helps Keep Kids Learning with DonorsChoose

Coronavirus has caused unprecedented changes in our communities, including school closures across the country. Teachers need our help to obtain the necessary resources for their students, especially now, while educators and families navigate at-home learning. To help teachers send their students the supplies they need, SONIC is donating $500,000 to DonorsChoose’s pilot program, Keep Kids Learning.

DonorsChoose surveyed nearly 4,000 teachers, and 97 percent of them responded they are worried that school closings are going to hurt their students’ learning. Through this program, teachers select the supplies their students need, empowering teachers to get supplies directly to students at home.
