This National Dog Day, order any Iced Latte through the Dunkin’ app on Saturday, August 26, and support the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s Dogs for Joy program. For every iced latte ordered ahead — including Espresso, Matcha, and Chai — Dunkin’ will donate $1 to help place more dogs in children’s hospitals.

“The Foundation’s mission has always been to provide the simple joys of childhood to kids battling hunger or illness, and Dogs for Joy is such a key part of that,” says Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation Director April McGonnigal. “We’re directly impacting kids in hospitals who need comfort. The dogs help guide them through what can often be scary or sometimes lonely times during treatment. The Dogs for Joy program aims to increase in-residence dog programs in children’s hospitals — we’re aiming to introduce five new Dogs for Joy in 2023.”

In addition to raising critical funds to continue the Dogs for Joy program, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is over-joyed to welcome the newest litter of dogs born at Canine Assistants in Alpharetta, Georgia. Each puppy in the “Dunkin’ litter” was named by Dunkin’ Joy friends, including a Cleveland Clinic Child Life Specialist, a pediatric patient from UMASS Medical Center, and the many Dunkin’ social media fans nationwide.

Now that the puppies have been named, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is proud to introduce: Quinny, Brewer, Joy, Munchkin, Pumpkin, Pico, and Birdie.

The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation’s Dogs for Joy program has placed 37 dogs in children’s hospitals across the U.S., where they help comfort and bring joy to kids battling illness. To learn more, visit joyinchildhoodfoundation.org/dogs-for-joy.
