Keeping America Runnin’: Dunkin’ Raises a Cup to Healthcare Heroes at Vaccination Sites

As our healthcare heroes continue to manage the COVID-19 crisis, Dunkin’ is proud to support those on the frontlines who are volunteering and administering vaccines. Dunkin’ is showing appreciation for their tireless efforts by making coffee and donut donations at vaccination sites across the country.

Dunkin’, its franchisees and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation have worked together from the very beginning of the global health crisis to find meaningful ways to say “thank you” to everyone on the frontlines, including healthcare professionals, first responders and now those working to administer vaccines.

“Here at Dunkin’, we appreciate and honor the heroic work and unwavering commitment healthcare professionals show every day,” said Kari McHugh, Executive Director of the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. “Their selfless sacrifices inspire all of us to come together to do everything we can to support our communities. We want people on the frontlines to know that we have their backs and they can count on Dunkin’ to help keep them running.”

Some of the ways that Dunkin’, the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation and its franchisees are giving back include:

  • In Foxborough, Massachusetts, Dunkin’ and the Foundation raised a cup to healthcare heroes administering vaccines at Gillette Stadium on February 8 and February 19 by delivering 1,000 servings of Hot Coffee and a cup of pre-packaged MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats for each worker.
  • In San Diego, California, franchisee Tali Burton is thanking heroes at Petco Park through the end of March by making donations twice a week, including 40 gallons of Hot Coffee per week and 52 dozen donuts per week.
  • In Los Angeles, California, franchisee Aharon Aminpour is raising a cup to heroes at Dodger Stadium by donating 30 gallons of Hot Coffee per week and 60 dozen donuts per week through the end of March.
  • In Atlanta, Georgia, Dunkin’ and the Foundation are lifting spirits at Mercedes Benz Stadium through March 5 by donating 100 boxes of Original Blend and Dunkin’ Midnight Keurig K-Cup® pods, serving Dunkin’ coffee all day across the stadium and giving away 600 tumblers to ensure every volunteer and vaccination administrator stays running all day long. Dunkin’ will also donate 10 dozen donuts, 14 dozen baked goods for a daily breakfast Monday through Friday.

Additional vaccination sites in North Carolina and South Carolina have also received donations, including Charlotte Motor Speedway, Spectrum Center Charlotte and various hospitals throughout the community.

To-date, through funding provided by Dunkin’, its franchisees and the Foundation, hundreds of thousands of complimentary cups of coffee, donuts, Keurig K-Cup® pods, MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats, tumblers and Dunkin’ gift cards have been delivered to vaccination sites across the nation.

Let’s keep going. If you want to thank a local hero for all that they do, you can send them a Dunkin’ e-gift card at DunkinCoffeeBreak.com. For more information on the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, please visit bringjoy.org.
