KBP Acquires 85 Sonic locations, adding to its existing portfolio of 100 Arby’s
Inspire Brands welcomes KBP Brands to Sonic, the world’s largest drive-in restaurant brand, following KBP’s acquisition of 85 Sonic locations across six states. The acquisition introduces one of the country’s largest, most sophisticated franchise groups to the Sonic network.
Joining the Sonic family also marks KBP’s expansion within the Inspire Brands portfolio, where it already operates over 100 Arby’s restaurants across the United States. Since joining the Arby’s system in 2021, KBP has distinguished itself as a leading franchise operator.

KBP operates more than 1,000 restaurants and employs over 20,000 team members across 32 states. KBP Executive Vice President Mark Everett will lead operations and growth for the company’s Sonic locations.

KBP is purchasing the Sonic restaurants from Boom, Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
