Joey Logano, SONIC Foundation Celebrated Healthcare Workers at ‘Heroes Night Out’

By Raj Prashad

In partnership with the Joey Logano Foundation, the SONIC Foundation recently thanked healthcare professionals for all of their hard work with a free “Heroes Night Out” celebration at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

More than 1,500 healthcare professionals from Atrium Health and Novant Health enjoyed a fun, socially-distant evening that included food from SONIC, a live musical performance by country musicians Mitch Rossell and Lee Brice, a showing of the film, “Turbo,” and a fireworks display all from the comfort of their cars.

“We wanted to do something special, something outside of the box,” Logano said. “We had the biggest parking lot party you’ve ever seen! We had Lee Brice there and was able to bring a bunch of frontliners from the medical industry there. It was an opportunity for them to take their mind off of everything that’s been going on and take a minute to enjoy it and show them that we appreciate the people who are there when we need them the most.”

The Joey Logano Foundation and the SONIC Foundation are dedicated to serving local communities and were honored to thank heroes across the Carolinas with a relaxing night filled with family entertainment and tasty eats and drinks compliments of SONIC Drive-In.
