SONIC Drive-in Announces Launch of Philanthropic Arm: SONIC Foundation

SONIC Drive-in has a strong legacy and history of giving back to the community through local initiatives and national programs. To build on this legacy, SONIC is proud to announce the creation and launch of the SONIC Foundation – a 501c3 non-profit and operating division of the Inspire Brands Foundation.

The SONIC Foundation will focus on sparking brighter futures for America’s youth through support of three key pillars, including hunger, education and community.

The SONIC Foundation knows the brightest futures arise out of strong communities where kids have access to the food, education and resources they need to grow and thrive. The Foundation will work closely with franchisees and operators to host restaurant fundraisers where guests can donate to the SONIC Foundation to support their local community.

Most recently, the SONIC Foundation hosted its first restaurant fundraiser at select company-owned drive-ins, raising more than $70,000 in support of No Kid Hungry’s efforts to feed kids across the country.

In addition to sparking brighter futures for youth, the SONIC Foundation manages a disaster relief fund to assist drive-in team members following natural or manmade disasters.
