SONIC Drive-In Awarded Enduring Impact Gold Award by Franchising Gives Back

By Raj Prashad

For the last 10 years, SONIC Drive-Ins across the country, in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, have been dedicated to supporting public school teachers in local communities through the national cause initiative Limeades for Learning. After impacting nearly four million public school students, SONIC was awarded the 2019 Enduring Impact Gold Award by Franchising Gives Back.

“For the past decade, Sonic has been proud to support public school teachers and their entrepreneurial spirit in delivering much-needed supplies and learning materials,” said Christi Woodworth, VP of Public Relations for SONIC. “Receiving the Enduring Impact Franchising Gives Back Award from IFA is wonderful recognition for the brand and our franchisees’ long-standing support of public education.”

Franchising Gives Back, part of the International Franchise Association, recognizes businesses with a longstanding commitment to their communities that have executed an outstanding charitable or community support program for at least five consecutive years.

To date, SONIC is proud to have donated more than $14.5 million to public school teachers from coast to coast.
