SONIC Invites Fans to “Sip to That” in New Brand Campaign Celebrating Life’s Little Wins

New campaign introduces SONIC Refreshers as the go-to reward for everyday victories this summer

From carrying all your groceries inside in one trip to steering your pool floatie into the one sunny spot, life is full of small wins – and SONIC, the leader is fun and refreshing beverages, is raising a cup to all of them with its new brand campaign, “Sip to That™.”

In a culture that celebrates big milestones, SONIC flips the script by spotlighting the small, everyday wins that actually shape our days. With “Sip to That,” the brand taps into the humor and satisfaction of the little victories, encouraging fans to recognize them and reward themselves – because small wins feel even better when they’re acknowledged, especially with something refreshing.

At the center of the campaign are the new SONIC® Refreshers, a lineup of hydrating beverages, made with real fruit and green tea. Available in still or sparkling varieties, SONIC Refreshers are a departure from the brand’s variety of fountain soda drinks and come in three flavors: Strawberry Passion Fruit, Mango Peach and Berry Citrus.

Developed in partnership with SONIC’s creative agency of record, Mother Los Angeles, “Sip to That” comes to life through four 15-second commercial spots and additional videos on social starring comedians Mary Beth Barone, Veronika Słowikowska and Connor Wood, alongside content creator Henry Smith. Appearing as themselves, the talent finds humor in familiar, low-stakes scenarios that range from minor victories to quietly chaotic wins, all delivered with a wink and a shared sense of accomplishment.

Across each spot, the campaign introduces a repeatable ritual: when a small win happens, you “Sip to That” with a SONIC Refresher. By turning the phrase into a universal way to recognize any accomplishment, no matter how small, the ritual feels authentic, relatable and easy to see yourself in. Each spot leans into the talents’ distinct comedic voices, bringing the moments to life in a way that feels natural, self‑aware and fun.

Cat Cow Pose featuring Connor Wood and Henry Smith

Set in an outdoor yoga class, friends Connor and Henry hold their cat‑cow poses beside their Mango Peach SONIC Refreshers. When the yoga instructor singles out Connor’s form with a compliment, Henry’s competitive disbelief says it all. Connor coolly celebrates the small victory with a refreshing sip, turning the moment into a laid‑back win.

Henry heads back to his car from the park with his hands completely full – including a Strawberry Passion Fruit SONIC Refresher. With no help from his friend Connor, who stands by sipping his own drink, Henry manages to open the car door using just his pinky. He celebrates the small but heroic win with a refreshing sip.

Mary Beth and Veronika relax in a sun‑soaked cabana, enjoying music and a Berry Citrus SONIC Refresher – until Mary Beth’s phone battery threatens to die. When the charger won’t stay connected, she has a quick stroke of ingenuity, using a simple hair clip to keep the phone charging. As the music resumes, the friends share an approving moment and a refreshing sip.

Mary Beth and Veronika lounge poolside on floaties, sipping a Strawberry Passion Fruit SONIC Refresher, when an unexpected patch of shade interrupts their sun. Without hesitation, the duo paddles together toward the lone sunny spot, fully committed to “sunmaxxing.” The spot closes with the friends enjoying their drinks after chasing one of summer’s best moments.

And as the Refreshers category continues to heat up, SONIC is doing what the brand has always done: stay one sip ahead. On May 18, SONIC will introduce new SONIC Frozen Refreshers, alongside additional “Sip to That” spots featuring Ariana Madix and Ciara Miller. The spots will bring the “Sip to That” idea to life through fun, relatable moments that capture the energy between two friends and the confidence that comes from sharing life’s little wins.
