SONIC celebrated teachers a little different this May to recognize the dedicated teachers across the country who continue to work hard to meet their students’ needs through distance learning. On Teacher Appreciation Day, SONIC matched every donation to DonorsChoose to help teachers with distance learning, totaling more than $1 million.

While schools are closed, teachers’ needs for supplies and resources to keep kids learning continues. Together, SONIC, DonorsChoose and community members like you showed teachers our gratitude and support, donating more than $3 million combined to help fund 19,632 public school teacher requests seeking support in providing their students with essential education resources.

SONIC is proud to help teachers all year long and recognize their resilient entrepreneurial spirits now in this time of need. Through Limeades for Learning, SONIC has donated more than $16.6 million to public school teachers, helping over 26,000 teachers and 5.4 million students in public schools nationwide since 2009.
