Arby’s Foundation Teamed With the Joey Logano Foundation to Support Those in Need

The Arby’s Foundation recently partnered with the Joey Logano Foundation and Convoy of Hope to host a community event to help families in need in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Thousands of bags featuring essential care items including socks, toiletries, shelf-stable food, masks and bottled water were distributed at the event. In addition to sponsorship, the Arby’s Foundation also donated 1,000 Hot Wheels toys and School’s Out, Food’s In meal cards that provide five free kid’s meals over the summer.

“When numbers began to dwindle, we realized we needed to take to the streets. If people couldn’t make it to us at the event center, we needed to go to them,” said Kimberly Gamalski, Community Impact Manager for the Arby’s Foundation. “We loaded up our volunteers’ cars and trucks and worked in partnership with the Charlotte police to hand deliver hundreds of bags to those most at risk. It was an honor to be able to serve this amazing community.”

“The Convoy of Hope distribution event in Charlotte, North Carolina, was a combination of a handful of great people who came together to help give back to the local Charlotte community,” said Joey Logano. “The Joey Logano Foundation has hosted seven essential supplies distribution events with Convoy of Hope since the pandemic started last year and it was great to partner up with the Arby’s Foundation and Coca-Cola to help make this event a big success in downtown Charlotte… Adding this Convoy of Hope event the day before the Coco-Cola 600 race, with a group of great people, only made this weekend extra special.”
