When you’ve just unleashed a whopping 95-yard punt, you’ve got to celebrate in style. That’s exactly what Heidelberg University’s Austin Baker did, when he and his family enjoyed dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings after the record-breaking performance.
“Probably some boneless wings,” Baker said when asked what he’d eat at his local Buffalo Wild Wings, per SB Nation.
“I think I’m gonna go with some honey barbecue.” Austin Baker, Punter, Heidelberg University
The kid with a leg of steel launched a punt from his own end zone into the opposite end zone, earning the Division-III record. And he did that despite only having a yogurt and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before the game.
His punt broke the previous record of 91 yards, and he was just four yards off the NCAA record of 99 yards by Nevada’s Pat Brady in 1950.
We can’t guarantee Buffalo Wild Wings will allow you to punt the ball 95 yards, but who knows, it might help.
