Tiffany Elgourani always knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur and has built a reputation for growing successful businesses from the ground up. Through it all, she credits one brand with sparking her ambition: Baskin-Robbins.
“Growing up, ice cream was a privilege we just didn’t have,” recalls Tiffany. “I remember always wanting to try Baskin-Robbins. In high school, I got my chance – and the taste was imprinted on my mind. I decided right there and then that when I got older, I was going to own an ice cream shop.”

Tiffany went on to start thriving real estate and retail companies – but her motivation for success remained simple. “I promised myself, ‘I’m not going to be at a place in my life where I can’t get a scoop of ice cream.’ It’s something that still drives me to grow and be better today.”
In 2020, the nationwide lockdown brought many day-to-day operations to a standstill, including Tiffany’s. But it also presented her with an opportunity to dive back into the brand where it all began. “I was in Mississippi, and there was a Baskin-Robbins with a drive-thru so full that cars were blocking the main road. It caught my attention and brought me back to that happy moment I had as a teenager, eating my first scoop of Baskin-Robbins. That’s when it dawned on me: this was how people were finding their own happy moment during crisis. As an entrepreneur, investing in a business that thrived during a shaken economy was a no-brainer.”

By 2023, Tiffany opened her first Baskin-Robbins in Hoover, Alabama. She joined a network of 2,800+ franchisees across Inspire, a global restaurant company with six complementary, category-leading brands including Baskin-Robbins.
“Throughout this process, I’ve just been so impressed with how Inspire really pushes for my success,” says Tiffany. “Before becoming a franchisee, I could’ve given you a list of challenges I’ve experienced as a minority businesswoman in other industries, but there’s been absolutely none of that here. The many hurdles I’ve come to expect simply don’t exist at Inspire.”
Tiffany’s second Baskin-Robbins is now under construction in Birmingham, with plans for two more in the surrounding area.
“Looking back, I could’ve opened my own ice cream shop instead of a Baskin-Robbins, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a franchisee. You’re literally given the roadmap for success, because the franchisor knows what works and what doesn’t,” says Tiffany. “It’s been fulfilling to meet so many franchisees who are self-made like me. We come from all walks of life and Inspire is rooting for all of us.”
Inspire strives to be the franchisor of choice in the restaurant industry, growing alongside passionate franchisees who believe in the power of Inspire and our brands. That’s why anything is possible with Inspire.
“You have to find partners who will invest in you like Inspire has invested in me. They made my childhood dream come true.”
