Coming off the limited release of the award-winning Buffalo Trace Single Barrel Select Bourbon, Buffalo Wild Wings is unveiling a new premium spirits option just in time for Cinco De Mayo: Corazon Reposado Tequila.
Aged for 11 months in Hand Selected Buffalo Trace Barrels in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, Corazon Reposado offers the perfect upgrade from your standard tequila options and can be enjoyed at Buffalo Wild Wings sports bars neat or on a block of ice. Made from 100% Blue Agave, the subtle notes of vanilla and oakiness are amplified by the aging process in whiskey barrels. Guests will find similar chocolately, caramel notes that they would find in a whiskey.
The reposado tequila’s rich flavors pair perfectly with a variety of dishes at Buffalo Wild Wings, including spicy wing sauce flavors, honey BBQ and the brisket platform, which features savory entrees such as the Smoked Brisket Sandwich and the Dirty Dubs Tots.
“When you look at what sets Buffalo Wild Wings apart from other bars, it’s wings, bold flavors and what you’re seeing now is we’re beginning to offer unexpected beverage experiences with quality options like Corazon Reposado Tequila,” said David McPhillips, Director of Beverage Strategy & Innovation for Buffalo Wild Wings. “People might not view us as a proper bar for mixology and cocktails just yet, but we’re changing those perceptions with each new beverage addition.”
For fans of mixed drinks, the brand is also unveiling a new limited-time offering, combining the flavorful spirits of Corazon Reposado with the perfectly balanced Q seltzer water and a hint of lime to create Ranch Water.
“Q seltzer water is a premium line of mixers that features a highly-carbonated soda water. Those nice, tight small bubbles open up the reposado. So the effervescence brings the flavorful notes, aromatic characters and spice components out of the spirit to make a really enjoyable drink. That’s something we’ve seen be successful in Texas and we think our fans across the country are going to love it,” McPhillips said.
Guests can also celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year at Buffalo Wild Wings with Corazon Reposado Tequila mixed into the Hibiscus Margarita, Platinum Margarita and Red Bull Sunrise.
