Buffalo Wild Wings, known for its expansive selection of wing flavors, is unveiling its most sophisticated sauce yet: Truffalo Sauce*. Six month after launching an innovative new wing sauce platform, the brand’s latest sauce innovation mixes the rich, complex flavors of real white truffles and everything you love about Buffalo sauce into one great experience.
What is Truffalo Sauce?
Truffalo sauce features the bold heat of traditional Buffalo sauce combined perfectly with the earthiness, aromatic and slightly sweet finish of truffles.
“Truffalo sauce is somewhat of a departure from many of our menu items in that we are exploring a more niche or specialized ingredient considered ‘high end’ or extravagant,” said Jamie Carawan, Vice President of Brand Menu and Culinary of Buffalo Wild Wings. “This sauce is formulated with premium ingredients, and as so, gets a $1 upcharge. People who love truffles understand how special they are and the unique flavor and personality they bring. We think truffle lovers will come in for this affordable luxury and really enjoy it.”
Joining the new Truffalo sauce are two brand-new menu items, the Bacon Smashed Hatch Chile Burger and the Buffalo Chicken Tots.
The savory and spicy Bacon Smashed Hatch Chile Burger features the brand’s classic double patty, hand-smashed and seared with bacon, then topped with American cheese, hatch chile peppers, grilled onions and pickled Fresno chiles, then finished with a hatch chile aioli.
The mouthwatering Buffalo Chicken Tots includes a base layer of crispy Tots, topped with juicy, seasoned chicken, buffalo seasoning, blue cheese crumbles, pickled Fresno chiles, medium buffalo sauce, ranch and green onions.
Fans can also take advantage of the limited-time Truffalo Sauce* offer during weekly promos BOGO Boneless Thursdays and BOGO Traditional Tuesdays.
