Inspire’s Impact – How We Made a Difference in 2020

There was no more important time for companies to make a positive impact than over the last year – and the Inspire family of brands did just that. Our team members and franchisees across Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s and SONIC Drive-In continued to invest in their local communities, building more than 400 new restaurants that created 8,900+ new jobs and providing key nourishment for brave frontline workers and students without school lunch. Together, we generated more than $9 billion in economic impact through wages, taxes and reinvesting in our restaurants.

Throughout 2020, Inspire remained committed to providing opportunity and advancement for more than 518,000 diverse and talented company and franchise team members across the U.S. Our brands are creating best-in-class workplaces through innovative training programs, business resource groups and opportunities for career development. Inspire and our brands strive to empower our 3,000+ franchisees who run restaurants, provide employment and give back to local causes through the small businesses they operate.

Across our restaurants and menus, we strive to be responsible stewards of our resources. In 2020, Inspire’s shared service Development team identified new ways to drive efficiency, installing more efficient equipment and reducing the amount of material required to build new restaurants. Our brands also continued to build on food sustainability efforts, including achieving Arby’s goal to source 100% cage-free eggs by 2020 as well as providing more choice, including non-dairy and plant-based options, through product innovation.

Inspire and our brands played integral roles in supporting the non-profit community through an uncertain and challenging year. Together, we donated more than $20 million to national and local non-profit organizations around the country, helping to ensure America’s youth have access to the resources they need to become our next generation of leaders.

Looking ahead, we are excited to share more throughout the year on how Inspire and our brands are making progress in the areas of Opportunity, Sustainability, and Community.
