For more than 20 years, Jimmy John’s franchisees Doug Glendenning, his son Matt and their team have supported the St. George, Utah, community. With local schools postponed until May 1 due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, the franchisees are continuing their commitment to giving back by offering free half sandwiches (#1 The Pepe®, #4 Turkey Tom® or #6 The Veggie®) and a bag of chips for students, K-6th grade every Monday starting April 6 through the end of the month.

“Over the years, we’ve become a trusted brand in the community,” Doug Glendenning said. “We’ve supported schools in the area and we thought this was a great way to give back during what is really an unprecedented time in the world.”

With school out, the school district has continued delivering lunches to students in need. But many students need assistance for dinner as well, and that’s where Doug, Matt and their team saw an opportunity to help out.

“We wanted to provide some flexibility and give parents a break after trying to work during the day while homeschooling their children,” Doug Glendenning said. “This offer is good each Monday in April, all day long for takeout, drive-thru or curbside pickup.”

The free half sandwich and chips promotion is available at five southern Utah locations every Monday until April 30:

  • 930 S Bluff St, St. George, Utah
  • 2376 E Red Cliffs Dr, St. George, Utah
  • 42 S River Rd, St. George, Utah
  • 910 N Dixie Downs Rd, St. George, Utah
  • 1001 W 200 N, Cedar City, Utah
