National Taco Day is coming up on Tuesday, October 4. While the holiday comes around every year, Rusty Taco is honoring the holiday falling on Taco Tuesday this year with a special offer. Next week, Rusty Taco is introducing a new menu item and giving it away for guests to try for free on the 4th.

The Dallas-founded brand, named after creator Rusty Fenton, offers over 20 street-style tacos with unique options including baja shrimp, cauliflower, brisket and more. The star of the menu for National Taco Day, however, is a returning fan-favorite called “The Uptown.” Made with hand-breaded fried chicken, slaw, queso, honey, and sriracha served on a flour tortilla, The Uptown is an updated version of a taco the brand offered for a limited time in 2020.

“We believe tacos are the most important meal of the day, so we were looking for an extra special and delicious taco for guests to enjoy for National Taco Day,” said Brendan Mauri, Brand President of Rusty Taco. “We’ve gotten many requests over the last two years asking for The Uptown to return- with National Taco Day coming up, we thought it was the perfect time to bring it back!”

The Uptown Taco will be available for purchase for a limited time starting Monday, October 3. On October 4, anyone who is signed up for the brand’s e-club, Friends of Rusty, will be able to get a free Uptown Taco with any purchase, in-store or online.
