Rita Patel to Join Buffalo Wild Wings as CMO

Buffalo Wild Wings today announced that Rita Patel has been named Chief Marketing Officer of the brand, effective September 14, 2020.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Rita will oversee advertising, digital innovation, menu development and the overall brand experience for Buffalo Wild Wings. Based in Atlanta, she will report directly to Buffalo Wild Wings President Lyle Tick.

“Throughout her career, Rita has been known for her creative and strategic approach to building brands and engaging with consumers, while also demonstrating a strong drive for results. Her unique experiences in consumer marketing for a variety of well-known global brands makes her a natural fit for fan-favorite Buffalo Wild Wings,” said Lyle Tick, President of Buffalo Wild Wings.

Rita currently serves as a Vice President at Target, leading brand management. Additionally, she brings significant marketing experience from a variety of global consumer companies, including Wrigley, MillerCoors, and Beam Suntory. Patel earned her undergraduate degree in marketing and management from DePaul University, and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago.
