Known for taking on some of the hottest foods on the planet, TikTok star Spice King recently partnered with Buffalo Wild Wings to unveil its all-new Blazin’ Challenge featuring the brand’s Blazin’® Carolina Reaper sauce. While he enjoyed the new flavor combinations featuring Carolina Reaper pepper, hot red pepper sauce and roasted garlic, Spice King didn’t think the Blazin’ Carolina Reaper sauce offered enough of a kick despite being measured at more than two million Scoville units.
“I’ve tried the Blazin’ Challenge from Buffalo Wild Wings, and honestly, it’s not even that spicy — to me,” he said on TikTok.
Buffalo Wild Wings sauce expert Tara Gimenez took those words as a challenge and began building a custom challenge for Spice King to overcome, with a Buffalo Wild Wings-themed championship belt on the line.
“We created many iterations, but the final sauce I landed on was a marinade on traditional wings that sat for 72 hours featuring habanero peppers, chiles, chile pequins and mango habanero liquor. From there, I used mango habanero, Carolina Reaper and ghost pepper hot sauce. I had also soaked chile pequins in the mango habanero whiskey, so I mixed that into the sauce and to top it off, added some liquid capsicum.”
To complete the custom challenge, Spice King finished 10 wings coated in this special concoction in less than five minutes with no water or napkins. To celebrate his achievement, Spice King was awarded a custom belt to crown him the champ.

While this iteration will never be in Buffalo Wild Wings sports bars, fans can head to their closest sports bar to try the new Blazin’ Challenge featuring the brand’s Blazin’® Carolina Reaper sauce. The Blazin’ Challenge At Home Bundle is also available for takeout or delivery through the Buffalo Wild Wings App, available via the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
